The Rosemary Device

The "Rosemary Device" came alive when four guys from two Cincinnati- based bands met for a jam session and found what they all had been looking for: musicians with the same mind-set and goals. Brett Scharf (guitar / vocals and founding member of the band ‘Spindle’) had been riding the wave of a record deal with Triple Crown Records, touring with bands such as Brand New, Fallout Boy, and Motion City Soundtrack. After several line ups that didn’t work out, Scharf realized they needed a stronger front man. He remembered a band called ‘Krinj’ (who shared the stage with acts like Boy Sets Fire, The Format, Breaking Benjamin, Hey Mercedes, Emanuel) and their singer in particular: Brandon Migliorisi. They arranged a get-together to test the waters. This first session was so successful that they decided to go down to Tampa and record a set of demos with Mike Major, who previously worked with ‘Sparta’ and ‘At the Drive- In’. The three songs on this website are the early results of this exciting new project. These are the first sounds of the "Rosemary Device".
